Release Notes interiorcad 2022 F1 / F1.x / F2 / F2.x
Subdivide framed doors or drawers
Framed fronts can be subdivided by rails or stiles with multiple, different panels.
Custom Exports
This new feature allows you to tailor interiorcad's exports without the need to dive into Python code.
Hole line 3D
Totally revamped for 2022, this tools now creates hole lines which can be modified after being applied to a cabinet side. Best of all, performance of both placing and regenerating hole lines has been vastly improved compared to interiorcad 2021.
Continuous Partitions
Partitions can now optionally split a cabinet's top or bottom board (plus scribe or plinth if needed). The same applies to fixed shelves, they are now able to optionally split a cabinet's left or right side.
Additional improvements
- Contour 3D now features a planar display mode
- Continuous cabinet sides or top/bottom can now be configured with a custom protrusion
- Cabinet 3D - New Button "Update" in Object Info palette
- Profiles will be visualized in Part Layout 3D (F2.5)
- Hole Line 3D will be visualized in Part Layout 3D (F2.5)
Improvements
- Opening a subdivided framed door did not work properly (F2.7)
- When placing a Hole Line 3D object on a Cabinet 3D within a group, the Hole Line 3D object was inserted into the drawing outside of the group (F2.7)
- Saving drawer configurations sometimes did not work (F2.6)
- Hole Line 3D - NC-Export was missing one drilling for some configurations (F2.5)
- Moving a hinge manually on a door would disconnect hinge from Cabinet 3D (F2.5)
- Assigning a fitting type to a group sometimes removed geometry from group (F2.5)
- Plinth 3D - Stretchers height reduction could not be more than 100mm (F2.5)
- NC-Export - Dialog Tools could no longer be resized properly (F2.5)
- Null machinings were displayed red although they were properly connected to a Custom Part 3D (F2.5)
- Classes needed for Drawer tool are now created on-demand only (F2.5)
- Screws could not rotated by 180° if placed on a grid (F2.5)
- Extrudes automatically resized to Cabinet 3D box dimensions caused multiple undo error messages (F2.5)
- After inserting a drawer the selection geometry was in the wrong place (F2.5)
- Importing and placing a Cabinet 3D symbol did not register all parts for later export (F2.5)
- Plinth 3D - Choosing a material for stretchers when in preferences mode caused Vectorworks to terminate unexpectedly (F2.5)
- Part Layout 3D - Using construction groups filter in preferences mode caused Vectorworks to terminate unexpectedly (F2.5)
- Repairing object connections was not successful at times (F2.2)
- Custom Part 3D names were not always generated properly which triggered disconnected fittings and routings (F2.1)
- Part Layout 3D - Radius correction of Contour 3D was not displayed correctly
- NC Macro 3D - Code can now be edited for multiple NC Macro 3D objects at once
- Contour 3D - Tool ID contained in machine-specific settings can now be edited for multiple Contour 3D objects at once
- Part Layout 2D - Contour radius compensation was not displayed properly on some occasions
- Profile 3D - Sometimes, changing a door's profile was not possible after assigning a profile to a Custom Part 3D
- Contour 3D - Mirroring a Contour 3D in Top/Plan view did not set the radius compensation properly
- Contour 3D - Mirroring a box object containing a Contour 3D did not set the radius compensation properly
- "Convert to Cabinet" did not assign unique names to Cabinet 3D objects when converting multiple Vectorworks primitives
- Cabinet 3D - After creating and editing a symbol containing a Cabinet 3D object, grid drillings on the right unit side disappeared
- Cabinet 3D - Duplicating a Cabinet 3D object in a complex document was sometimes unproportionally slow
- Cabinet 3D - Moving a Cabinet 3D object in a complex document was sometimes unproportionally slow
- "Edit materials" was not possible if a unit group contained no materials
- Cabinet 3D - Controls from other dialog tab were visible on tab "Objects" in Cabinet 3D settings dialog
- Sometimes, after saving a fittings or grid library file, interiorcad's cache was not updated properly so the added fittings or grids were not shown in interiorcad's tools
